In June 2021, Julia have been selected from over 3,000 applicants and invited to take part in Series 7 of Sky Landscape Artist of the Year!!!

'I had very memorable time competing and filming. The whole day was amazing! We were well looked after by the filming crew and cheered by the public.' 

SERIES 7 of Landscape Artist of the Year has being first broadcasted in January 2022 on Sky Arts - which is available on Freeview. For those with access to Sky or NowTV you can also watch it on catch up. Also the series will be repeating on BBC channels.

The venue was at Compton Verney in Warwickshire. Look out for Episode 5.


As always the team are:

  • Hosts: Joan Bakewell and Stephen Mangan
  • Judges: award-winning artist Tai Shan Schierenberg, independent curator Kathleen Soriano, and art historian Kate Bryan.

'I also want to say a special thank you to Judy Hilditch and Gaynor Greenhalgh for their encouragement for me to enter the competition and an amazing support in preparation and of course on the day. They came and camped out in their caravan and were able to see the filming process, speak to the artists and judges'.
