Here are some of Julia's recent commissions
Over the Summer and Autumn 2022 Julia has been working with a brand new Dental Hospital in Bangor, North Wales (Bangor Dental Academy), creating a display of prints and original work in the corridors and in the surgeries. You can visit it freely to see the work on Ground Floor display. First Floor is now getting occupied by Bangor University Dental Department and at the moment only students, staff and new patients will be permitted. Second Floor is allocated for patients with disabilities.
A short video is coming up here soon to give a preview of the space and artwork in situ.
All the images are based on the local views of Snowdonia National Park, Bangor and Menai Strait. The Dental Hospital will be open to it's customers and visitors at different stages. Ground floor - Private and NHS Dentistry - November 2022. The first floor (Bangor University Training Centre) and the second floor (NHS Dentistry for customers with disabilities) are due to be opened in May-June 2023.
Two canvases size 1m x 2m each were created for the reception areas. 'Garth Pier, Bangor' and 'Menai Bridge' are both iconic landmarks. Below are the images of the creative progress.
